WHITE PAPER
August 1999
Summary
Microsoft Office users within teams or departments of any organization can be called upon to create all kinds of professional-looking materials: for example, a training course for dealers, a brochure describing a product or program, a Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation, or even a Web page. In today's business world, readers expect these print and Web documents to be more graphical and colorful than in the past. For a businessperson with little or no graphic design training, meeting these higher expectations can be a daunting challenge, especially with unfamiliar tools that require users to be fluent in desktop publishing jargon.
Fortunately, adding visual impact to publications can be easy and inexpensive with graphical tools such as the Microsoft Publisher 2000 business desktop publishing program and the Microsoft PhotoDraw™ 2000 business graphics program. In addition to providing powerful graphical tools, both of these Office programs share a common user interface with other Office programs, which helps most users quickly feel comfortable working with them. This paper addresses the benefits that internal teams and departments within medium and large organizations can enjoy by using Publisher 2000 and PhotoDraw 2000.
